The Alex Gaffer on new signing Chuma Anene
Crewe Alexandra Manager Dave Artell is delighted to capture the loan signing of striker Chuma Anene from FC Midtjylland in Denmark.
The move came about through the Alex's wider reaching scouting processes that have been put into place in the last 12 months, with Anene having never previously played in the UK before.
On the capture of his new Norwegian frontman, Artell said: "We're pleased to get the deal with Chuma over the line after a couple of weeks of discussions & negotiations.
"He's got good pedigree having played in the top divisions in Russia & Kazakhstan, so we're hopeful of a good loan spell.
"We're expecting him to work hard, get some goals & be part of a squad that's heading in the right direction.
"It all came about through our wider reaching scouting processes that we're hoping will prove fruitful in the future - sometimes British players become too expensive!"
