Having reflected on Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Colchester United, boss David Artell was pleased to see his side grind out a victory despite not producing their finest performance.

Having performed to a higher level in the recent winless matches with Yeovil and Accrington, Artell is hoping the result becomes a turning point to secure more victories.

He said: “I said after the game, we played better against Yeovil… and we were streaks better against Accrington.

“Out of the last three games, it’s probably the game we looked least likely to win – performance-wise.

“But as we know, to our cost, we’ve performed in some games this season and got nothing. So it’s always nice to say the performance could be better but the result was as we wanted.

“I’m certainly not going to moan about it, and I hope it happens more often to be honest.”
