Crewe Alexandra will aim to get back to winning ways when they host Sutton United tonight (Tuesday, 7,45pm).

Lee Bell has demanded a response to the weekend's defeat at Doncaster, as he leads his men into the final 10 games of the season.

The Opposition

Sutton United are bottom of the League Two table, six points off safety. In a difficult campaign, The U's have only picked up 10 points away from home - but that includes a tremendous win at Notts County. Last time out they showed their fighting spirit by snatching a late equaliser against Grimsby.

The Gaffer

Steve Morison took over as Sutton boss in early January - replacing Matt Gray who had been at the helm for four years and elevated the club to the EFL for the first time in their history.

He was Manager of Cardiff in 2021-22. As a player, Morrison was a striker who played over 270 times for Millwall and earned 20 caps for Wales.

Fighting Talk

Lee Bell: “We will be looking for a response against a team that will fight for everything. The fans are with us, and they see the effort going into everything and appreciate the position we are in.”

Steve Morison: “Crewe will be another tough game; we go there with no expectation except the one we put on ourselves and try and get a positive result.”

Head-to-Head

The two sides have only met three sides in the last. The Alex are unbeaten, after two 1-1 draws and a win at Mornflake Stadium last season.

Match Officials

Andrew Humphries will be the referee for tonight’s clash. Mark Cunliffe and Emily Carney will accompany him as assistants. Marc Edwards will be the fourth official.

Humphries has not refereed a League Two match yet this season. In the 16 games he has taken charge of in the National League he has handed out 16 yellow cards and two red cards.
