Joel Tabiner says trust between players and staff has been key to Crewe’s positive campaign.

The midfielder, who returned to action after injury in the 3-1 win at Notts County on Saturday, believes the strong faith in each other is getting results.

He explained: “It’s all about trust. They (coaching staff) trust our ability and we trust them, so we need to listen to what they say and then do it on the pitch.

“You can see how close-knit we are and everyone has a part to play.”

Tabiner was sidelined by an ankle injury in October but played the last 20 minutes of the success at Meadow Lane.

The 20-year-old added: “It’s been hard but it’s part of football. Now the team is flying and I want to contribute. It was a perfect day for the team and I’m happy to play for the first time in four months.

“We have to take it game by game and hopefully it will work out at the end of the season. I’ll try to get closer to 100% fitness over the next week.”
