‘Harrogate will want to bounce back’ - Dicker

16 February 2024

Ryan Dicker has warned that Harrogate Town will be desperate to bounce back after their midweek mauling at Mansfield Town.

The Yorkshire outfit were thumped 9-2 at One Call Stadium, but had previously been on a superb run of just one defeat in 10, which had rocketed them towards the Play-Off places.

Now they are preparing to visit Mornflake Stadium, where Lee Bell’s men will ain to build on a brilliant win at Stockport on Tuesday.

Assistant Manager Ryan Dicker said: “Harrogate are still a team in form, one defeat doesn’t change that.

“They’ve been on a terrific run of results and performances. They are a good footballing team and really well organised, with and without the football. It doesn’t surprise me where they sit in the table.

“Everyone can have a blip and a one-off game, and it looks like they had theirs in midweek.

“But they will be looking to bounce back and maintain the position they are in. We have to focus on us, as we do every game, and come up with a way we think we can get three points.”

Crewe have taken 19 points from the last 24 on offer, and will start the game sitting third in League Two.

The Alex won 1-0 at Harrogate in October and will be aiming to complete a league double.
