Regaining momentum is key as Crewe Alexandra head into the final two games of the League Two season.

That’s according to Manager Lee Bell, who says he won’t be satisfied with limping into a top-seven spot.

The Railwaymen lost 3-0 to Grimsby at the weekend, but remain fifth in the standings with a six-point cushion between them and eighth-placed Doncaster Rovers.

Bell said: “We don’t want to fall into the Play-Offs – we have to gain momentum.

“You don’t get these opportunities very often; it doesn’t come around every year.

“We have grasp it and if we don’t quite achieve what we want to achieve, you have to be on your knees because you have given everything.

“We have to show a lot more desire than we did (against Grimsby). We need a response.”
