Crewe Alexandra will meet the challenge of reaching the Play-Offs under their own steam head on.

That's according top Manager Lee Bell, who admitted he was ‘bitterly disappointed’ to lose 3-0 to Wrexham and miss a chance to confirm a top-seven spot.

Now the Manager is focused on getting the point they need at Colchester United to be assured of a place in the Play-Offs.

Bell said: “We will regroup next week and we have to build confidence in training.

“I’ve never not met anything head on, and the players will do that as well. We do not want to come off that pitch (at Colchester) with any regrets.”

He added: “I’m bitterly disappointed to have lost another match at home. The goals we conceded were poor, but I thought in general we looked better.

“We showed more energy and it was an even game until a flashpoint in the first half – James McClean should have been sent off, no ifs and no buts.  

“Straight from that incident, we conceded. That made it a really difficult task against a good team.”
