Tom Booth has signed a new contract which commits him at Crewe Alexandra until at least summer 2025.

The homegrown keeper has penned an initial two-year deal, with an option for a further 12 months part of the agreement.

Booth has made impressive strides through the club’s youth ranks since joining at the age of eight.

Now 18, he made his first-team debut at Grimsby in April and kept his place for wins over Swindon and Bradford, and a draw at Newport.

Booth, who spent time on loan at Kidsgrove Athletic and Nantwich Town as part of his development, will now fight for the Alex number one jersey for 2023-24.
