Lee Bell has declared himself satisfied with Crewe Alexandra’s transfer business so far this summer – and says there is more to come.

Harvey Davies, Ryan Cooney, Shilow Tracey, and Jack Powell, have all arrived at Mornflake Stadium to add strength in all four key departments.

Manager Bell has praised the efforts of backroom staff, and says more permanent and loan additions are still on the agenda.

“I’m really satisfied with what we’ve done so far,” he said.

“Josh (Kennard, Head of Recruitment) and Joe (Peach, Recruitment Analyst) have worked extremely hard to identify the players – and there's obviously a lot of toing and froing between them and me and the rest of the backroom staff.

“I think we are in a really good position. What's been really pleasing is that players have wanted to come to the club, even though they’ve all had other options.”

He added: “We are still active and looking at players. The loan market is going to be important to us, but I’d love to get another permanent signing or two through the door.

“We’ve got great contacts because the loans we have made in recent times have been successful and beneficial in different ways. Hopefully the parent clubs see their players are getting game-time and developing, so we will utilise those contacts again.”
