Injury Update: Williams, Long, O'Riordan, Tabiner & Colkett

14 December 2023

Connor O’Riordan and Zac Williams are being assessed to see whether they can take part in Saturday’s clash with Accrington Stanley (3pm).

O’Riordan missed the midweek defeat to Bristol Rovers, and fellow homegrown defender Zac Williams was withdrawn at half-time. Both are struggling with ankle injuries.

Meanwhile, Charlie Colkett is due to undergo a scan on his hamstring, and Christopher Long (thigh) and Joel Tabiner (foot) are continuing to make progress.

Manager Lee Bell said: “Connor O’Riordan will be assessed – he still has some aggravation in his ankle.

“Zac Williams felt his ankle and we will up his work leading into the game. Hopefully, he can be available for selection.

“Chris Long – we are hopeful he will be ready for Barrow next week. He has upped his work this week but we have to be mindful of not pushing him too hard, too quickly.

“Joel Tabiner is a couple of weeks away from being back yet; he’ll go for a follow-up scan in the next few days to see if the bone has healed.

“Charlie Colkett’s hamstring has tightened up so we will send him off for a scan.”
