‘Fans can be key in home run’ - Dicker

12 December 2023

Crewe Alexandra supporters can play a key role in the mission to get results in three home games on the spin.

That’s according to Assistant Manager Ryan Dicker, who is hoping for big atmospheres at Mornflake Stadium.

Bristol Rovers visit in the Second Round of the FA Cup tonight (7.45pm).

Accrington Stanley visit in top-half clash on Saturday (3pm). And Barrow come to South Cheshire on Friday, December 22 (7.45pm) when ticket prices have been slashed to £10 (adults), £5 (Under 18s) and FREE (11 and under).

Dicker said: “The fans have been terrific and hopefully they’ll get behind us in the three fixtures we have got coming up at home – and I’m sure they will.

“They’ll come out in their numbers and create a good atmosphere. Our performances and results have been positive at home and that gives you a base to work from.”

First up is Matt Taylor’s Rovers. Midfielder Joe White and defender Zac Williams, who both came off the bench at the weekend after shrugging off injuries, are in contention.

Dicker added: “Joe is absolutely fine. We had to be careful with him to make sure we didn’t have a setback but he got through it well and is in contention.

“With Zac, it’s a similar situation with aiming to build his minutes up but he is a positive too because I thought he did really well when he came on at Grimsby.”
