Crewe Alexandra boss Lee Bell has backed new loan signing Aaron Rowe to get supporters off their seats.

The Huddersfield Town man has joined on a season-long loan and is expected to go straight into the squad to face MK Dons at Mornflake Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Bell says the 22-year-old is a fast and skilful player who can thill Alex fans.

“He is an exciting player with lots of pace and I think he will add an extra dimension to our attack,” he said.

“I’m really pleased to have got this signing over the line because we want to play good football and be entertaining for our supporters. I’m sure he will only add to that.

“I’m looking forward to seeing him in an Alex shirt. Aaron can play in a variety of positions and, after speaking to him, he seems a driven lad who wants to improve.

“He played a decent number of games for Huddersfield in the past so he needs to kickstart his career and get back to the standards that earned him those games at that level.”

Rowe, who will wear the number 21 shirt for Crewe, has enjoyed previous loan spells at the likes of Bromley and Stockport.
