Minor Set-Backs Putting Kashket Return On Hold

23 March 2022

Forward Scott Kashket has suffered minor set-backs in his quest to return to action. The former Wycombe man has not featured since suffering an ankle injury at Ipswich Town back in late November.

The 26-year-old has made steady progress after coming out of his supportive boot in the New Year but he has felt some discomfort at times that has restricted his return to full training.

Kashket’s season at Crewe has been hampered by injury and has limited his appearances to 15. He scored his only goal for the club to date away at Plymouth in September and it has been a frustrating time for the hard working forward.

Crewe Alexandra manager, David Artell told the club’s official website: “Scott is making progress and just when it seems he is getting closer and closer, he suffers a little set-back and it puts him back a bit.

“It is a difficult one but hopefully we will see him back before the end of the season. “
