David Artell is hopeful that new signing Rekeem Harper will discover the consistency that he needs to re-launch his career during his loan spell at the club. Harper is available for selection for tomorrow night’s visit of Plymouth Argyle after being unavailable for the trip to Gillingham after signing on loan from Ipswich on deadline day.
The former Blackburn and West Bromwich Albion midfielder has come out on loan to gain valuable game time and help Crewe move out of the bottom four.
Artell told the club’s official website: “Rekeem comes with a good CV because he is a good footballer. He has had a bit of a stop/start career so far, but there is no doubting that he has talent.
“He has to find that consistency and play consistently. They will come hand in hand with him because we know how influential he is. He played against us when he was at Blackburn and we are pleased to have him because we think he will be a real asset to the team.”
