Morris: "I Want Us To End On A High Note"

29 April 2022

Alex Morris says he doesn’t believe in not playing players who may not be here next season.

Morris says he will look to implement new things in the final game of the season at Lincoln City, but more importantly will be looking will be looking to end the season on a high.

The newly appointed Crewe Alexandra manager wants the momentum we have managed to build in the last three games to continue.

Morris told the club’s official website: “I don’t agree with not playing players who are potentially not going to be with us. I don’t think that will influence things too much and the chance to win a game and build momentum fair outweighs that in my opinion.

“I want us to go to Lincoln, compete and win the game. We want to play well and end on a positive.

“We have played well in patches in the three games and now we want to play well for longer and take that into the summer months.

He added: “I don’t agree that there are dead rubbers in football when there is a league game at stake. It is chance to improve and see things we have worked on and there is always something to play for as players on every game.”
