Artell: "Away At Northampton Is Always Tough"

Alex aiming to bounce back after Burton set-back with a win on the road at Northampton.

David Artell believes that Northampton Town’s change of manager in February won’t greatly alter the way they played under previous boss Keith Curle. Caretaker boss, Jon Brady, replaced the experienced Curle and he has recently overseen encouraging wins over Plymouth and Portsmouth and a draw with Doncaster Rovers.

The Cobblers are currently in the relegation zone but are just a point behind Wigan Athletic.

Crewe will travel to the Sixfields Stadium aiming to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing home defeat to Burton Albion.

Ahead of our rip to Northampton, the Alex boss said: “I wouldn’t have thought that their (Northampton’s) style can change so dramatically with Jon taking over from Keith Curle. They managed to get a few in during the window and they are fighting for their lives, so we know it is going to be a tough game.

“It is always a tough place to go and we will have to combat whatever they throw at us. We will have to come up with the right answers because we didn’t do that last week. We have show more resilience and put up more of a fight than we did last Saturday. “
