Boss says key is to keep defender fully fit to play his part this season.
David Artell says that a fit and playing Donervon Daniels would be a major asset for his team this season. Daniels has had a positive pre-season and impressed again in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.
The key will be to keep the former Wigan and Blackpool man fit for the majority of the season because the 27-year-old is one of our most senior players.
An injury-hit first year at the club restricted him to just 16 appearances in all competitions and the Montserrat International will be hoping for a more productive campaign.
David Artell said: “Donervon is a good player. He has shown that. It is more about him playing the games and being available. We need him to play the games and if he does then we have a real asset on our hands.
“We have Billy (Sass-Davies) coming through and the pathway has to be there for him but Donveron has had a terrific pre-season and there is no reason why he cannot play the games.”
