Crewe Alexandra winger Ben Knight will undergo a scan on his injured foot today. The on-loan Manchester City youngster suffered the injury in the final training session before our weekend game against Sheffield Wednesday.

The 19-year-old has been limited to 11 appearances since signing for us on loan in the summer due to injury.

David Artell told the club’s official website: “Ben will go for a scan later today. He got injured on Friday on the top of his foot, there was no-one near him at the time. It was just one of those things.

He added: “He has had an x-ray and there is no break but we will know more when he has the scan.”
