Artell: "Brian Is A Great Guy And I’ve Got A Massive Amount Of Respect For Him"

David Artell's troops prepare to take on AFC Rochdale at Gresty Road tomorrow as the visitors head towards South Cheshire in fine form having won their last three games.

Despite their upturn in results, Rochdale currently sit 22nd in Sky Bet League One and remaining five points off safety, but the gaffer has insisted his side will have to be at the top of their game to secure all three points against Brian Barry-Murphy’s team.

Ahead of the game, the boss spoke of his admiration to how Saturday's counterpart goes about his business and the way he sets his side up to play.

Artell told the Club’s official website: “First of all, Brian is a great guy and I’ve got a huge amount of respect for him. If there is one team who I would like to stay up its them. They play football the right way and their resources are similar to ours.

“They’ve had a tough season, but they’re hitting a bit of form just at the right time. We know it’s going to be a tough game. It was tough there over Christmas when we played them at the Crown Oil Arena.

He finished with: “We know we are in for another hard game tomorrow. So, we know we will have to play well because if we don’t, they will have the weapons in the arsenal to make it a tough afternoon for us.

“We’ve got to make sure we are on the ball as much as we were Tuesday night and try to win the game.”
