Boss reflects on Swindon set-back.
David Artell says that his Crewe Alexandra side only had themselves to blame for suffering a 3-1 defeat at league leaders Swindon Town. The Alex boss was left hugely frustrated with our second half performance at the County Ground because he felt his players moved away from passing the ball around.
Crewe conceded two goals in a manner of minutes to Jerry Yates and Danny Rose and we didn’t rally enough in the last 20 minutes to possibly salvage something from the top of the table clash.
Artell told the club’s official website: “Swindon are top of the table for a reason and they hard to beat at home but we are more bothered about how we played and we are disappointed because we didn’t play very well, especially in that second half.
“Goals change games and that is fair enough but we didn’t get going in that second half and didn’t pass the ball around like we should and it cost us the game in the end. We didn’t get going.”
