David Artell has told the club’s official website that it is easy to take the positives from Saturday’s last gasp win over Northampton Town, but the Alex boss says that he has quickly moved on to our mid-week game against Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth Argyle.
Crewe secured all three points against Keith Curle’s side thanks to Ryan Wintle’s stoppage time winner in our 2-1 win on Saturday and Artell is hoping that out mini unbeaten run continues against the Pilgrims.
Artell told the club’s official website: “When you win a game of football, it is easier to see the positive lights from it. It is 7 points from three games and we have to keep that going.
“It is all positive at the moment but we are not getting carried away here. Far from it.
“It is small steps in the right direction. We got the fact that we hadn’t come from behind off our backs and we are making progress as a team but there is a long way to go.
“Regardless if you win, lose or draw, you have to move on quickly. We have another tough home game on Tuesday night against Plymouth and our attention will switch to that.
“It was pleasing to win on Saturday, it always is but for me, it shouldn’t have taken to the last minute. We should have had the game done and dusted way before that and that is an area for improvement.”
