Due to the lengthy suspension of Perry Ng, Olly Lancashire has certainly grasped his opportunity with both hands alongside Omar Beckles. Ng’s ban has seen Luke Offord switch to right-back, thus allowing Lancashire to return to the starting XI.
David Artell says that Lancashire’s professionalism has seen him recapture his place when the opportunity arose.
The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “Olly is a great pro and there comes a time in your career when things are not so rosy in the garden and the best thing you can do is roll your sleeves up and work hard.
“Olly has done that and when you are prepared to do that, you just hope that the luck will change somewhere and you will get a chance. You have to make sure that you are on top of your game because that chance may not be at the club you are at.
“Olly has got his chance and taken it. He is playing well at the moment and is at that level and that is credit to him.”
