Not Surprised By Lowery's Goal Return

27 September 2019

David Artell has told the club’s official website that he is not surprised that his midfield maestro Tom Lowery has begun to add consistent goals to his game.

The Holmes Chapel based Lowery has scored four goals from the middle of the park already this season and he has continued to dominate the club’s Man-of-the-Match awards with his performances.

In the 4-1 win over Salford City last weekend, the diminutive midfielder scored a real contender for Goal-of-the-Season with a majestic flick and dinked finish and Artell always believed that the talented youngster was capable of getting goals.

Artell told the club’s official website: “I am not surprised that Tom has added goals to his game. He has always been capable of taking a goal and he has worked hard on it. We have worked hard on him to get into those positions as well and it is paying off.

“Tom is an excellent player and once we do that work with him, it is about him understanding that and transferring it into the games. That work is making him more successful and he has to keep it going.

“Four goals is a good return so far and he has to keep striving for even more.”
