Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell says that no-one in the dressing room will be getting carried away after only 10 games. The Alex boss says that his side are ‘going along nicely’ but there is still plenty of work to do.
Ahead of this weekend’s trip to Cheltenham, Artell told us: “We are going along quite nicely but that is all it is. We have played 10 games and there are 36 to go. We have close to three quarters of the season left and there is a lot of work to do.
“We are second and have 21 points. That is a good start but what have we achieved? Nothing yet.
“It is nice to get plaudits and have people talking about our second half performance on Saturday and talking about Tom’s goal or Harry’s goal. It’s nice that it comes about but we have to keep it going because we haven’t achieved anything.
“We have some cracking fixtures coming up and some tough games, so let’s see where we are after the next 10 games.”
