After defeat to Morecambe, Colchester have slumped to eleventh in the table. This defeat leaves the U’s with only one win in six games in all competitions.
The 19 points accumulated after 14 games has given manager John McGreal a foundation to build on, but quickly with the leading pack starting to move ahead already.

Crewe: Nicky Hunt is an injury doubt after being substituted in the first-half against Swindon on Saturday. Olly Lancashire is expected to make a return to the starting XI if the veteran cannot make the match day squad.
Colchester: There are no new injury concerns for the Essex based side. Only Diaz Wright and Harry Pell remain out of contention with both of their long term injuries.
