David Artell has told the club’s official website that the culture of having a winning mentality is slowly but surely entering into the walls at the Football Club.
Crewe Alexandra are currently top of League Two after 13 games and Artell says that the confidence and more importantly the belief is high inside the club.
The Alex go into Saturday’s home fixture against Swindon on a run of six games unbeaten in all competitions.
David told crewealex.net: “The confidence and belief is high because of the start we have made and the fact that we are winning football matches. It is infectious. We are heading in the right direction and the Under-23s are winning games and the Under-18s are winning.
“That is how it should be. When you turn 17, 18, you are a professional footballer that means winning football games. It is all important in this stage of their development.
“That perhaps has not been the case at this football club in the past. We have perhaps been guilty of having our players playing well and thinking that’s enough.
He added: “Now it is important for them to learn how to win and we are getting there. “
