Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell says that he and his staff will be doing their utmost to improve the playing squad this summer.

The club’s recruitment department has already devised a list of potential new targets to go for this summer. Much of course will depend on who stays and who may leave, but Artell is happy with the way his squad is already forming.

David told the club’s official website: “We will see what we can do in the market. Sometimes it will suit the clubs and other times it will suit the players. It can be a game and you just have to see how things pan out.

“You never know what might happen but we will try our utmost to improve the team over the summer.

“We will be doing everything we can and doing it for the right reasons.”
