David Artell has told the club’s official website that his Crewe Alexandra side are still fighting to put pressure on those ahead of us in the table. Crewe have lost some significant ground in the race for a top seven finish and the Alex boss knows that we cannot afford to drop too many more points in the remaining 11 games of the season if we are to sneak in at the death.
This evening, Crewe travel to Prenton Park needing the three points to re-ignite our end of the season.
David told crewealex.net: “We can only look after ourselves and we cannot concern ourselves too much with those ahead of us or around us.
“I said after the Northampton game on Saturday that if anyone thinks we have cracked it with where we are in the league then think again.
“We are 15th or wherever in League Two and we have to make sure we are doing a lot better than that. If we think we have cracked it then it is time to give your head a wobble.
“That is not the standard I have set. We are still fighting and we will continue to do so until the 4th of May. “
