'Great Gesture' To Remember Baz In This Manner

8 July 2019

Our thanks to Nantwich and the 1,005 who attended Barry Day Memorial

Nantwich Town deservedly became the first winners of the Barry Daly Memorial Trophy following their 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra at the weekend.

The Dabbers captain and our former player, Caspar Hughes, fittingly received the trophy from Barry’s wife Judith and the two clubs were represented on an emotional day.

It was a fantastic gesture by both clubs to remember the popular ‘Big Baz’ in this manner and we look forward to next seasons’ meeting between the two neighbouring clubs.

Everyone at Crewe Alexandra would like to like to thank Nantwich Town for their fantastic hospitality on the day and to the 1,005 supporters who came to watch the opening game of pre-season. It was a great turnout.
