Large Following Can Really Help Us At Moss Rose

6 February 2019

The club’s assistant manager, Kenny Lunt, says it is ‘brilliant’ that the club are heading towards taking close to one thousand supporters to Moss Rose this weekend.

Lunt says that the support they received, with nearly 500 away fans cheering us on at MK Dons helped inspire us to a superb 1-0 win in our last away game and he is hoping for more of the same this weekend.

Ahead of the Cheshire derby with Macc, Lunt told crewealex.net: “If we take close to 1,000 away fans to Macclesfield then that would be brilliant. You can always see the difference it makes when there is a great atmosphere and the fans have been brilliant with us all season.

“They made a lot of noise at MK Dons and it was great that MK Dons put them all together behind that goal. They were singing throughout and it helped the players. They respond to that.

“There will be more at Macclesfield on Saturday and I’m sure we will be even louder and we will do everything we can to get a result.”
