The Railwaymen: Ex-Player Association Launch

16 April 2019

'The Crewe Alexandra Supporters Group ‘The Railwaymen’ are proud to launch a new initiative called The Ex-Player Association.

The Aims and objectives of the association are:

1) To celebrate Ex-Players achievements and help keep alive the memories each player contributed to the history of Crewe Alexandra Football Club.
2) To help promote Crewe Alexandra Football Club and develop links with the business community and the CAFC fan base.

We are proud to announce that former Crewe Alexandra star Gareth Whalley has agreed to become the president of the group.

Gareth fitted every possible criteria, making 179 appearances for The Alex after graduating through the clubs academy, and also represented the club at Wembley on two occasions.

Gareth said: "It’s a privilege to be asked to represent the Ex-Players Association. I am excited to, hopefully, bring together the many talented ex-players that have passed through Gresty Road. I really look forward to seeing you all soon."

We are proud to have 44 members in the ex-player association and we are in no doubt this number will rise. All information on our members can be found on Ex-Player Association link under initiatives on the Railwaymen official website - click here.

Thank you for your continued support.'
