First team coach Alex Morris believes that Crewe Alexandra have finally begun to collect the away points that our performances have merited.

Morris says that the confidence to go away from home has been significantly lifted by results at MK Dons and Mansfield Town.

Crewe Alexandra travel to near neighbours Port Vale this weekend aiming to bounce back from last Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Cheltenham Town.

Alex told crewealex.net: “The away performances have been generally good but we probably haven’t had the results we have merited. I know the manager has spoken about the points we have dropped away from home.

“He has spoken about Macclesfield, Crawley, Yeovil and all the extra points we probably deserved. On the balance of play, we have probably deserved more than we have got.

“Only recently have we been getting the results we deserve. We have managed to win at MK Dons and Mansfield and that should give us great confidence to go away in the last few games and get results. “
