Artell Excepting Proper Football Match Against Forest Green Rovers

26 April 2019

Crewe Alexandra boss David Artell believes that our final home game against Forest Green Rovers will be one of the most attractive fixtures in League Two this weekend.

Mark Cooper’s side are renowned for their footballing principles and still have an outside chance of finishing in one of the automatic promotion places. They are currently three points adrift of third spot.

Artell is expecting another tough meeting with Forest Green, who share the most away wins this season with Lincoln.

The Alex boss said: “Forest Green are a very good side and we know that Mark likes his sides to play good football. They have had a terrific season and have the best away record in the league. They are also top of the form table but we have been going well ourselves and it should be a good game.

“It is two footballing sides and I’m sure it will be one of the best footballing matches in the EFL this weekend because we both like to play the right way. Both teams like to get the ball down and play.

“It will be another stern test. They are in the play-offs and have an outside chance of automatic promotion, so it should be a really good game of football. It is one to look to look forward to. “
