Kenny Lunt remains confident that ever-present defender Perry Ng will agree to extend his stay at Crewe Alexandra beyond this season.

Lunt has described the versatile defender as one of the most consistent performers in the Crewe team this season and he remains convinced that the Liverpool-born Ng will commit his future to the club in the future.

Kenny told crewealex.net: “The talks with the gaffer and Perry’s agent are on-going. These things usually take time but I am sure Perry wants to sign and stay here. I am sure there are only a few bits that need to be sorted out and once those are finalised then Perry will sign.

“He has been here years and he is a great lad. Every time he steps up from the youth team, the 23s and into the first team, he turns out to be one of the most consistent players.

“He still has some development to go, he will know that but he is still one of our most consistent players.

“He has been here a long time and I’m sure Pez will show some of that loyalty back to us.”
