Crewe Alexandra manager David Artell remains confident that Perry Ng will agree to continue his development at the Alexandra Stadium.

Only recently, the Alex boss claimed that Ng has all the credentials to be a future captain of Crewe Alexandra.

The Alex boss says he is in regular contact with Ng’s agent and he remains confident that the defender will commit his future in due course.

David told the club’s official website: “I am talking with Perry’s agent and I remain confident that his development will continue with us. He is an essential part of our plans and when the time is right, he will move with our blessing.

“We will help him to improve here and he knows that. He is an intelligent lad and his agent is good. He is one of the better ones, I must say. He is sensible and intelligent and I respect him a lot.

“It would nice to get it sorted. It would be nice to put it bed and he could be earning a few bob every week because he is throwing that away at the moment.”
