Alex boss remains confident that Ainley and Kirk will follow Jones by re-signing for the club.
David Artell is hoping that the soon to be out of contract, Callum Ainley and Charlie Kirk, will follow the example set by James Jones and commit their futures to the Football Club.
Jones signed a new two-year deal yesterday and Artell is hoping that others will follow suit. The Crewe Alexandra boss says that he has only received ‘good vibes’ over continued talks with the players and their representatives.
Artell told crewealex.net: “It is a good start with Jonah signin, but in truth I have had good vibes with all three of them. Now we hope we get the others over the line.
“Talking are on-going and they are coming along nicely. That is all I can really say. It has been positive and we remain hopeful.
“I am sure when we have an answer one way or another then we will let people know. With social media like it is I am sure it will spread pretty quickly. Everyone will spring into action to let all our fans know around the world.
David added: “I am not sure if Jonah signing will have an influence on them. They may look at it and think that is another good player signed up and we are getting a good team together for next season. I don’t know how they think but hopefully they are thinking that way.”
