David Artell has told the club’s official website that due diligence is still being conducted on potential new recruits but he remains confident of securing a couple of new full-backs before the new season kicks off on 4th August.
The Crewe Alexandra boss has made secret of his desire to bring in reinforcements in the full-back positions to offer cover and competition to Perry Ng and Harry Pickering.
David told crewealex.net: “We are still working on the full-backs and we have a comprehensive list of potential targets. We have one who is going into his club today and another one who is talking to his about his future. It is that sort of thing at the moment.
“The cogs of the wheels are still turning behind the scenes and hopefully a very good footballer will be spat out at the end of it.”
