Kenny Lunt has praised the job Jim Bentley has continued to perform at Morecambe. The Crewe Alexandra assistant manager describes Bentley’s work in keeping Morecambe in the league as nothing short of miraculous.

Ahead of this weekend’s home encounter with the Shrimps, Lunt told crewealex.net: “What Jim pulls off at Morecambe year after year is a miracle. He does it every season and I don’t think there are many managers who can do what he does on the resources he has. He does a fantastic job.

“We went to watch them recently against Chesterfield and they will be a right handful. They are a well organised outfit, a big side and they know how to get results. That is why they stay in the league every year.

“We will assess their strengths and weaknesses but we will concentrate on what we need to do and hopefully that will result in three points.”
