Experienced midfielder Paul Green has praised the form of Jordan Bowery and says that the striker has deserved his goals in the second half of the season. Bowery goes into Saturday’s home game with Morecambe on a superb run of 8 goals in 9 games, but Green is quick to point out that the former Aston Villa man has also worked his socks off for the team effort.

Paul told crewealex.net: “Jordan has been in great form for us and even without the goals he has scored, his work rate for the team has been phenomenal.

“When I first came to the club I used to say to Jordan ‘hey, you deserve a goal’. I always felt it would come for him and once he got one he would go on a run like he has.

“He has combined his work rate with goals and he is really positive. It is fully deserved because he is such a good all-round player for the team.”
