James Jones Running Without Any Problems

10 October 2017

James Jones is progressing from his long-term pelvic injury but he is still expected not to return this month. The Scotland Under-21 International has struggled with the injury since undergoing an operation on a hernia in the summer and although he has made tremendous strides in his quest to get back, a return to action is still some time off.

Jones, who missed the majority of the pre-season, scored 11 goals last season and David Artell is hoping to have his influential midfielder back as soon as possible.

David Artell told the club’s official website: “James has been outside running with Liam, the sports scientist and he is progressing well.

“All I can be is hopeful that he will be back soon. He has missed a lot of football and it is going to take him some time to recapture that match fitness, but hopefully he will be able to get some game time for the Under-23s soon. “
