Lunt On Search For Target Man

Assistant manager not drawn on Bowery future.

Kenny Lunt has stated that on-loan striker Jordan Bowery has been ‘fantastic’ for us but he refused to discuss his future as he is still contracted to Leyton Orient.

Lunt says that the former Chesterfield and Aston Villa man has helped transform Crewe’s forward line and has helped the likes of Chris Dagnall and George Cooper find the back of the net on a more regular basis, and the club’s assistant manager says David Artell will be aiming for similar type of centre-forward this summer.

Lunt told crewealex.net: “I can only talk about what Jordan has done for us and he has been fantastic for us. He has helped Dagnall score the goals we needed, but he is still Leyton Orient’s player and I don’t like to talk about other people’s players. He is contracted with them and all I can say is that he has done well for us.

“We could do with that type of centre-forward, someone who can hold the ball up, can head and is a decent footballer as well. "If Jordan can add goals to his game then he could play higher.
