Kenny Lunt is excited to get the whole squad together for the first time on Thursday as the preparation for 2017/18 begins with the first day of pre-season.

Some players have been in over the summer months to keep the bodies ticking over ahead of pre-season, but Thursday marks the official start of the pre-season schedule with the whole squad back in on a full-time basis.

Kenny said: “We can’t wait for Thursday, it’s great to have the squad back in all together to get going with the pre-season program.

“The lads have been coming in twice a week Tuesday’s & Thursday’s getting ready for it.

“Hopefully they’ll come back fit so we can get the balls out straight away.

“We’re expecting them to be in decent shape. We’ve got a bit of time to work with, so we don’t want them peaking too early. Hopefully they come back in decent nick & wanting to work hard.

“We’ll be doing tests on them to see where they are & see what comes back & we’ll work from there.”
