David Artell has returned from his summer break and has got straight back into trying to find more recruits for his squad. The Alex boss has already added two forwards and a centre-half to his squad but he admits he is now after a midfielder and more defenders to bolster his options.
Artell is pleased with the business he has been able to achieve thus far after attracting Chris Porter and Michael Raynes to the club and being able to tie former loanee Jordan Bowery to a permanent contract.
David told crewealex.net: “I more than happy with what we have been to do so far. It is good to get some of our business done early. We are under no pressure to sign someone and I don’t think we have any mistakes so far. Time will tell but I know they have good characters and I knew that before.
“The reports we had on them were all good and I think we have made some great additions.
The boss added: “We need some more, a midfielder and a defender certainly and we will give it our best shot. I think the supporters appreciate the hard work we have put in.”
