We Will Work Right Up To Deadline

30 January 2017

Artell says one or two would be most welcome but will only sign to improve his team.

Dave Artell says the hard work will continue right up to the final minute of the transfer window as he aims to bring in a new face to bolster his squad options. Any potential business does not rely on defender Harry Davis departing before Tuesday night’s deadline but Artell has stressed the importance of signing the right player.

After his side were held to a goalless draw by Cheltenham on Saturday, David said: “The hard work will continue and it will until the last moment. We will do everything we possibly can to bring one in.

“Another one would be helpful but I do think we have enough quality here. They have shown it on Saturday and they showed it earlier in the season. We do have it here but one or two more would be welcome, it would.

“But as I’ve said, it has to be right. It has to the right character for them to fit into our squad and what we want to do.”
