Midfielder on target in 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday for U-23s.
Billy Bingham returned to competitive action with a goal for the club’s Under-23s in a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday. Charlie Kirk, who has recently served a three-match suspension following his dismissal at Exeter created and scored one in what was a good performance from Alex Morris’ side.
Manager Dave Artell was pleased that Bingham made a successful return to action: “Billy needed a game. He hasn’t played for a while and he needed to get back out there. We will assess how he is today and I am sure he will be fine and will train.
“If he comes to me and says that he has found it tough going over the last 10 days and that he needs a day in the pool then that to me shows great maturity. That is professionalism from my point of view and I welcome that because players know their bodies better than anyone.”
