U23 Manager on the Final victory over Nantwich
Under 23 Manager Alex Morris cut a proud man after leading his young side to the Cheshire Senior Cup title, a trophy not won by Crewe since 2003.
The Alex won the crown thanks to a 3-2 victory over neighbours Nantwich Town at The Alexandra Stadium in front of over 1,800 fans.
Morris said: "I'm delighted for the boys & delighted for the Club, silverware is not easy to win at any level.
"We did really well in the first half, not so well in the second half, but we found a way to win the game which is the be all and end all.
"We're showing a bit a fortitude to get through these games now, so there were some other positives to come from the final aside from winning the Cup.
"I'm really proud. The most satisfying thing for me is the boys because they've got silverware. I said to them that you don't get many opportunities to play finals in your career, you might go another ten years without playing in one - so make the most of it.
"I'm pleased for them, and pleased my group of players have managed to negotiate their way through five rounds, five games & come out on top."
