Collins Looking To Build On Morecambe Win At Colchester

25 November 2016

Assistant Manager hoping to secure back to back victories

Crewe Alexandra Assistant Manager James Collins is hoping the Club can secure back to back victories at Colchester this weekend.

The win over Morecambe has given the squad a lift, and the trip to Essex represents a chance to head into a two week break on a high.

Crewe have won the last SEVEN meetings at Colchester, stretching back to 1993, and Collins is hoping to keep that run going this weekend.

"It's a good place to go, we've had good success there before.

"It was going to get back to winning ways against Morecambe. We had to put things right after playing well against Plymouth & losing and then what happened in the Cup against Cheltenham.

"We went away to Barnet & got a vital clean sheet & then to win at home against Morecambe was important so we're back on track.

"They're coming off a good win, so they'll be confident - but we're confident of doing what we can do.

"I'm aware of the winning run at Colchester, but I don't pay too much attention to that, it's the here & now & all about getting this three points, making that an eighth victory."
