Alex boss hoping fans stay with us after hugely disappointing season.
Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis is hopeful that a positive pre-season and encouraging start to the new season will see him restore some lost pride following our relegation from League One. The Alex boss has admitted that mistakes were made during the season and that he has to recruit right this summer to make us competitive in League Two next season. He is targetting at least three more senior professionals to help his young group.
Steve is hoping that the Crewe supporters will stick with the club and continue to purchase their season ticket seats ahead of the new campaign.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “There is always a fall out following relegation but we just hope that everyone will stick with the club because we need the fans more than ever.
“It has been difficult and it is up to me, the staff and the players to restore some of that lost confidence in us. The only way we are going to do that is by working hard and winning matches.
“We are all supporters of the club and I hate losing. I detest it and we have not won enough games. We all want to be successful and we need the fans to be with us. They make a massive difference to any club."
