Could be one in and one out at Gresty Road as boss aims to add experience to his squad.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis has revealed that he may look to offload one of his four centre-halves to make way for a more experienced one to assist the defence.
The Alex boss wants to go into the new season with four central defenders but says that he may need a different type to help the young group going forward.
Steve told crewealex.net: “I would want four centre halves and we have that if you include Jon Guthrie, who can also play left-back. He has done well as the left sided centre half.
“We also have Ben (Nugent), H (Harry Davis) and George (Ray) there.
“I may want to get a different type of one in there if we can. One who has experience and has played the games and been there. I think that would help us more and we will look for one if we can move one on.”
