Boss to assess Chelsea winger ahead of home friendly against Bolton.
Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he will continue to assess the fitness levels of his new loan signing Alex Kiwomya before deciding whether to hand him his unofficial debut against Bolton Wanderers on Friday night.
The 20-year-old has joined the club on loan until January from Chelsea and the speedy winger certainly hopes to be involved against Phil Parkinson’s Bolton XI.
Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “I will assess Alex to see where he is fitness wise. He has been doing double sessions at Chelsea, so I would imagine he is fine.
He added: “If he is up there with the others then he could be involved against Bolton. We just want to take an unnecessary risk with him. We don’t want him to pick up an injury, so we will ask how he is and see how he trains.”
